The Wedding

I couldn't be more proud! The kids pulled it off and stole hearts in the process! Well, we did have the minor incident of pulling the strings on the ring bearer pillow during the ceremony and rings dropping into the dirt.

Nothing a little digging around couldn't solve by cousin Colt and Mason. I'll go with male bonding, it is still something females don't quite understand!
It would have been creepy, but knowing some of Cody's friends makes it not as creepy when they all told me they couldn't resist snapping pictures of the cute siblings. One
friend told me the kids held him captive and they should be locked up in a precious prison. We'll go with a little too much alcohol, but I know he was trying to give us a compliment on how adorable our kids are and were! It was a fun day!

We were thinking the horse family shot could have been our Christmas card, but then we remembered we left Bryson at Grandma Ellen's with a sitter. It was a blistering 109 degrees and we thought we could enjoy the older two kids more without having to worry about him. We were correct in our decision, but it is still sad we didn't get the shot!

Rehearsal

We headed down to Wichita for Cody and Brittany's wedding. I tried explaining the kids roles to them, but I was met with blank stares. Since Cody and Brit are easy peasey I decided to go with the flow and go with it! Aunt Laurie was sweet and walked them through the process, and I think they were happy to just be a part! If they handle the wedding like they handled the rehearsal, I think we are going to pull it off without any unpleasant scenes or melt downs!

Jenna and Bryan had a great time playing with the kids over dinner. It warmed my heart watching them and the scenery and lighting just added to the view! I know Aunt Laurie was enjoying it from a whole different perspective, but it was a joyful moment!

Cody is going to ride in on a horse. Ed named the horse 20 years ago and he named him Business, that way when he was out on the horse he could tell work or friends that he was out

on "business". I think it is brilliant and if I ever buy a boat, I am going to name it Business. Mason was excited to sit up on Business and take a ride, Ellery was our more reserved child. We were just happy that Mason's experience was a pleasant since the first experience required me to pry the horses mouth open to retrieve his finger!

Wedding Preview

Mason and Ellery are in a wedding in July! Here is a preview of their attire as flower girl and ring bearer! Ellery is tickled with her attire, where Mason wasn't as thrilled. Let's hope he puts a smile on his face for the big event!

Happy Anniversary KP

Kristin finally went down "the Red Carpet" aka the aisle!

I know the bride didn't find all of this funny, but I hope in the years to come it will give her a good chuckle, because all the seasoned people found it hysterical. The Pastor was having a really bad day. In the ceremony he kept pronouncing Kristin's name Kersten. I even corrected him because he kept doing it. Not funny at that moment, but funny now. The knee slapper was when he introduced the couple as Mr. and Mrs. McKlusky instead of McClasky! I am not sure they will ever live that one down!

It was a beautiful ceremony and wonderful day. I had freighted over giving my Matron of Honor speech and kept telling myself no one really remembers the speech. Rob said I did great and after the nervousness wore off, I was on a roll, I think the two drinks Rob made me drink before the speech really helped me out! It was fun saying I have had a friend for over 20 years, yes it dated me, but what an achievement!

A Wedding To Remember..

Our dear friend Niki, who Rob went through residency in KC with, got married this weekend here in Omaha. She looked beautiful and so in love with her new husband. Our only regret is that they are settling in the DC area rather than moving back to NE. Niki always had a flare for dress up, costumes, and themed parties, and her wedding was no exception. It started off with adorable invitations that looked like a movie ticket that had Admit One on one side and then Starring their names and when the wedding premier was to be etc. She also carried that movie theme over to the reception and introduced the wedding party to different movies and they were dressed with a few accessories from the movie. The happy couple came in to the Star Wars theme.

We also had a great time getting together with other old residency friends. We were able to have everyone over for lunch and afternoon play and then off to the wedding. Kim and I left our kids at home with a sitter. Technically we both had one in tow, but I am not sure it counts if they are in utero? It was fun having another pregger to hang out with at the reception.

Weddings

We went to a wedding last night and took the kids. It was fun for about 20 minutes and then we questioned why we didn't get a baby sitter. If it wasn't a catholic wedding we might have been able to make it. Ellery decided she wanted to talk through the ceremony and Mason thought if she gets to talk why can't I so we watched the ceremony from the monitors. Mason did however pass a lot of gas during the opening prayer and we received some daunting looks. My cousins boy who is 7 was sitting behind us and I blamed him for doing it and he was freaking out telling everyone it wasn't him it was Mason. It was fun teasing Ryan about it the rest of the evening.
