Snow Fun

We finally got some snow and had time to play in it. I was beginning to think that my snow pant purchases where going to go to waste! Bryson didn't have much interest in walking in it. He was very content being pulled around in the sled.
Hudson was sad that he had to stay in the yard while everyone went sledding. I did push Bryson down the hill a few times without much of a response from him?
Ellery and Mason had a great time playing in the snow!

68 Degree's in January
January=Cold

That is why I didn't look at the weather prior to dressing my children in the morning. Mother Nature made me look like an "outstanding" mother today. I dressed my kiddos in turtle necks, the day ended with no wind and 68 degrees. People were wearing shorts while mine were covered from neck to toe!
They are also into making silly faces. It is our agreement in snapping photos. They have to do a serious one for me and then I will take a silly face photo if everyone cooperates for the serious one with pretty smiles. Sure Ellery's pretty smiles sometimes creeps me out, but I keep that thought to myself. It is what she does with her teeth. It looks all sweet, but then her teeth are perched up on her lips and then I think of a rabbit, which should bring sweet thoughts, but this rabbit for some reason isn't very nice!
Bryson is loving bubbles! He loves attempting to blow them, chase them, and pop them. Our bubble blower is on the fritz, but has been a great investment for us. I bought it for Mason's 1st birthday party and it has brought a lot of fun bubble popping days. I hear they have a new one that can produce 50,000 bubbles in a minute. I hear Toys-R-Us calling my name tomorrow!

Let it Snow
We had our first big snow of the year while we were away as well. It didn't stop us from bundling up the kids when we got home and taking them out for some snow fun!

The Animals
Mason is really getting into writing and writing in his journal per my request. While we were in the hills I asked him to journal what he saw. On a sunny day (Sun E Dau) He saw: deer, bufalo (bfulo), turkey (trke), squirels (sqrl), Mountain goats (montingos)
One hysterical point of our trip was finding the mountain goats. I tried to take a picture, but they took off as I was taking it so the kids all commented on their butts, and then I reinforced it by saying I got a picture of the butts. It is their favorite picture from the trip of course. We tell everyone how we got this picture!

Last but not least, we shouldn't forget this wild animal.

Let it Snow!

At least we made it to November this year before we got snow! Ellery was excited to see snow. She decided that we needed to head outside and swing in it! Too bad it all melted by the time Mason was out of school.

Another Driver
We have our final driver! He loves to be pushed around, the only problem is that he has more pushers who don't stand taller than the handle. Let's just say Bryson doesn't mind doing a wheelie!

Sprinklers in October
Like I mentioned we have had a beautiful fall. So nice that when my neighbor turned her sprinklers on to mark them so she could get her yard aerated the kids begged to put their swim suits on and run through the sprinklers. Who am I to say no?
They had a great time!
After they were done they put their towels on the driveway and sunned themselves like lizards!

Geese Goose Duck
Bryson was mesmerized watching the geese and ducks. I let him throw some bread, but kept him contained in the stroller.

Water Slide Fun

Water Day
We decided to have water day at the house again. Nothing like hooking up the old slip and slide and putting it at the bottom of our play structure slide. The kids love it. I need to go get myself a shepherds hook so I don't have to hold the hose or drench myself as I wrap it around the play structure to shoot down the slide. They also love jumping on the trampoline with water spraying everywhere!Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Strawberry Patch
them. I also had strawberry seeds in my teeth as I was smiling to pay for them. I told the strawberry stand lady she better charge me for a few extras that I just couldn't resist. We drove a bit to get our strawberries, and happened to pick the hottest day of the year. After about 5 minutes of walking in the patch the kids were done with the excitement.
Anne and I still had fun. We sat and ate a few after our picking and she captured the moment in words. Eating strawberries off the vine is a Taste of Sunshine.

Rain Boots
I should have had sucker written on my head as I walked through Target the other day. The kids spotted these rain boots and went into operation manipulate mommy mode. We were walking by the shoes and on an end cap were these irresistible rain boots. Mason's I can justify because they will be handed down to Bryson, but I am still working on an excuse why I came out of the store with pink Hello Kitty ones. We have had lots of rain here so they have been oh so fitting for the weather. The kids have already put a few miles on them.

Stroller Laps
I know these strollers weren't meant to be pushed miles, but we push them about .5-1 miles a day. I think I should find out how to test kid toys, because we are testing these strollers to their limits. Grandma Ellen sent up the double blue stroller that is a hug

Shoveling
With snow comes shoveling. Last year it always seemed that Rob was working an overnight shift when the snow hit. We haven't been hit that much this year and Rob was around for the big snow so he was able to perform his manly duties and shovel. The kids tried to shake some lose for him, but I think they were having more fun trying. Nothing like jumping on a trampoline in January!
