Easter Egg Coloring

We didn't get too crafty with decorating the eggs this year, we were just brave to do it with 6 kids. Scarlett didn't have that much interest, but Bryson wanted to be a part of it! Proud to announce no tears or stains from adults or children. In my opinion that is a successful egg coloring experience at the Keith family house!

No School

We didn't have any school today so a group from school decided to meet at The Playdazium at Skatedaze! Sure we just went, but the kids were super excited to go back again so soon! Mason's best friend Sam went with us and Mason and Sam happened to dress alike for the day! These boys just warm my heart!

Buddies

Mason and his friend Sam are-Buddies! These two are peas in a pod! We carpool with Sam and when I go to pick up you have no doubt who, what, and where they are. Even Ellery will shout out, I see them! Not a lot of kids wanting to wear Santa hats to school. Sam has a longer love affair with the Santa hat, I think he wore it from November to January last year. Mason just started his love relationship with the hat this year, I think because his buddy was rockin it so he wanted to see if he could pull it off as well! I think they both pull it off and rock it. This is by far my favorite picture of the two of them!

Sack Races

A pro to having family that own a coffee shop is that we can get a real sacks for races. The kids fit in these sacks and love crawling into them to hide. I then pick up my sack of beans only to find out a child is inside! They also love trying to have sack races in the basement. They are beginning to figure out if they position their feet correctly in the sack they can take baby steps rather than jumping across the room!
If you truly want the best coffee in the world and happen to be in Sioux Falls, SD stop into Coffea. For those of you who are true coffee lovers and won't be in SD anytime soon check out the website. They ship!

Super Heros

Super Hero's? I am amazed at what Mason and his friends love to play and dress up as. They don't give themselves super hero names, they are either good or bad guys. It appears the requirements for being a good or bad super hero is head protection, a cape, and something in hand even if it is a cat toy!

Water Balloons

Oh the joys shopping can bring. I was out shopping and ran into a water balloon pumper. Mason loves water balloons, but isn't old enough to get them pulled over the hose adapter, off the hose, and then tied into a knot. That is where I come in. Yet, I am not much better at getting them on the hose adapter, off, and tied into a knot without drenching myself and not to mention my frozen hands. I had already checked out at the store, but I couldn't resist this water balloon pumping contraption. We have used it multiple times, and I don't see it losing its luster anytime soon!
The Before Photo!
I particularly like Ellery's look of I am going to get you while one boy has a pretty smile and two boys look a bit clueless!
Then you have the change of heart! Note the red water balloon bottom centered in the photo. I threw a water balloon at the kids and Anne captured the moment. The tough girl and pretty smiler are bracing for impact, while the other two keep their clueless impartial looks!

VBS

We are going to be out of town for our church VBS week, but we hit our MDO VBS that is in the morning and takes 3 year olds. The kids loved going every morning for a week and I loved it. Bryson still takes a morning nap, so I had a little over an hour a day to get some stuff done-Kid Free! We also went with our friend Sam, the boys were in class together and Ellery was sad about that, but loved singing songs with them in the parent performance night.
We aslo got a kick out of the prayer card Mason received. Ellery is not sick and hasn't been sick in a long time. I never got the whole story out of him, but Ellery has been prayed for!

Strawberry Patch

Last year we had a strawberry patch catastrophe experience. They failed to tell us they had closed the fields and treated them with pesticide so we didn't get to pick any. This year's wasn't much better.I have a great memory of picking strawberries while I was in Maine for a summer. I came back with more strawberries than I could eat in a week, but had a grand time picking them. I also had strawberry seeds in my teeth as I was smiling to pay for them. I told the strawberry stand lady she better charge me for a few extras that I just couldn't resist.
We drove a bit to get our strawberries, and happened to pick the hottest day of the year. After about 5 minutes of walking in the patch the kids were done with the excitement.
Anne and I still had fun. We sat and ate a few after our picking and she captured the moment in words. Eating strawberries off the vine is a Taste of Sunshine.
