Lost the FIRST tooth

Mason went to school today with his tooth still in his mouth. He came home without the tooth in his mouth! I guess he was playing with it at free choice centers and played with it so much it fell out!
He wanted to write the tooth fairy a note before he went to bed, and the tooth fairy wrote him a note back and signed it in red glitter. She also left a little glitter on the window seal, Ellery didn't like another person coming into the house at night. We had to reassure her that the tooth fairy wouldn't use her window or come into her room! Mason was very excited and was hoping the tooth fairy would bring him $10 so he could buy something ikspisiv aka expensive! His tooth fairy only brought him $1, but it never hurts to ask!
Dear Mason,
Thank you for the nice note. I really enjoyed it! I hope you save your money so you can buy something expensive. I will keep your tooth safe in a jar.

Love,
The Tooth Fairy

We have a wiggly one

We have a wiggly one, a really really wiggly one!
We have our first lose tooth! Mason can't stop playing with it. I can tolerate a lot of things, but wiggly teeth--not so much!

Shoe Tie

Mason can tie his shoes! Finally! We bought a pair of tie shoes a month ago and set the rule that he could wear them if he learned how to tie them. The skill took more work than what Mason anticipated so he chose not to wear them. On went life and a few weeks later we decided to try again. Mason likes the Cars 2 matchbox cars so we decided to use them as incentive. Yeah, it worked. If he tied his shoes 7 times he would get the yellow car. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 I get a car-Yellow!

Bryson's First Hair Cut

I think the picture says it all on how our first hair cut was taken. He screamed through the whole process, but we managed to get it trimmed up a little bit, but now he has an awful comb over comparable to Donald Trumps.
I deny it often, but soon I will have to come to grips that I don't have a baby anymore! Rob and I tease that we should start therapy funds for our kids rather than college funds due to the damage we might do in our parenting skills or lack of sometimes. We might have to start me a therapy fund as well or I just might become a hoarder with all the baby and kids items!

Walk Walk Walk

All in due time! This little man is on the move. Haven't gotten a really good video of him, but he is standing and walking like a big boy. It is fitting for the season because he walks like Frankenstein!

Ellery First Day of PreSchool

Ellery was more excited than you can imagine to go to school. She wouldn't show me the love this morning in our photo? I think she was missing Mason, but she slowly warmed up to the idea! She is going to the Millard Public Foundation and has the same teacher Mason had in pre-school. I will be excited to hear what Mrs. Ziemba has to share about Ellery at conferences.
We had to take a baby doll to our first day of school, but she was left in the car over the excitement on going.
Ellery had no problem saying good bye to me this am. She did want a hug and a kiss before I left and then she walked into the classroom like she lived there! It is what all parents want, but it does make me a little sad she isn't sad to leave me. I get all teared up over the growing up process, but it doesn't seem to phase my kids at all! Yeah and Neah wrapped all into one!

Bryson's first time at the Beach

Bryson loved the beach and all it had to offer. I think he would have been swept off to sea if we would have allowed it! The salt water didn't bother him at all and the sand was fun to play with, throw, and eat!
He really enjoyed finding all the sea shells.
Caught eating the sand and no chance of slowing down!

Pool Side

We took Bryson to the pool for the first time. No surprise that he loved splashing in the water. He loves splashing and taking a bath!
Ellery played so hard that she wanted to be covered up and rest in the chairs. She is my snuggler!
Mason only took the mandatory breaks that the pool makes one take! He also went down the slides all by himself. It was going great until he got caught in the current and then he was done with that excitement, for now!

Standing Now

This little man is standing on his own for 4-5 seconds. He is also starting to crawl on all fours rather than his knees! I don't think any of us are ready for him to start walking.

Real Crawling

Although I had to make him cry to do it for the camera, Bryson is crawling. He is pulling up and moving all around. He is also showing a strong preference towards balls.

Pull Scoot Pull Scoot

Bryson isn't crawling yet, but he is scooting all around. We found himself scooting over to the hearth and trying to pull himself up to get to some of Ellery's puzzle goodies. I wasn't able to snap the camera fast enough to capture to the moment. Nor can I get the video to upload, oh well!

Teeth

We got new battery operated tooth brushes. Ellery makes it dreadful to brush her teeth. She screams and cries and acts like I am pulling her teeth rather than brushing them. Night after Night after Night after Night........ of Ellery screams. Ahhhhh I love them so much that they got new battery powered tooth brushes for Valentines Day with a catch. The rule is if you cry with this tooth brush you have to go back to manually brushing your teeth. So far it is working.

Guess who has one little tooth? The bottom right tooth has decided to join us. I have to say we have been blessed, we had no idea he was teething other than the constant chewing. Not a lot of fussing going on. Also, neither of the other two had any interest in chewing on the food pieces inside the mesh, Bryson is loving it! The kid will eat anything you put in front of him.

Look Who's Sitting Up

Bryson is a really happy baby if :
1. he is being held or
2. he is in an upright position.
So he is really happy that he can sit up on his own for a few seconds before folding himself like a taco and falling onto his belly. With him sitting up makes for happy siblings as well. They feel the need to help steady him. They also love that he is sitting close to their level of play, so they can stick their faces up to his.

Bryson Eating

Do you think this child looks ready to eat?
We think so. We gave Bryson his first solids and he surprisingly did very well with them. Ellery was super excited to help feed him and her baby doll at the same time. Mason came in for a look and off he went on his merry way. I think he wanted to see what all the excitement was about and when he saw it was feeding Bryson he left. He didn't understand why we were all hyped up and excited about the big event. I think Bryson was excited to finally be apart of the dinner table rather than a spectator/center piece.

Rolling Over

Well, it was finally witnessed, but not captured. Bryson finally rolled over in front of an audience. We were all watching him at Papaw's and he was enjoying all the attention and decided to show off. He was grabbing his feet and then flipped himself over. Go Bryson!

Exersucer

A friend of ours moved to KC after Bryson was born. I am sad she left us, but happy she left us her exersaucer. We never had one for the other two kids, and boy did they miss out. It seems that Bryson in enjoying himself in it!

Bryson Chuckle

I wish I could have caught it on camera, but Mason let out a chuckle today. More like a squeal followed by a big belly laugh. Not so funny thing is that he was looking at me when he found something oh so funny??????
None of the other kids were big belly laughers, I hope Bryson is!

Ellery Riding in Style

Our neighbors were cleaning out their garage and found this tiny bike and dropped it off for Ellery. We have had it a few weeks, but it didn't have training wheels, yet Ellery requested to ride it everyday. We finally got her some training wheels and she LOVES riding her bike. She has good control and can stop on command. We go for long bike rides around the circle and she does great. We would never have bought her a bike this summer because we thought she was too young and tiny, but we were wrong. She is our fearless rider. We might have some BMX bike tricksters?

Hairs Cut

I had a friend who would always correct me and say I got my hairs cut rather than a hair cut. He would make me visualize going into the hair dresser and getting one hair strand cut. Anyways, Ellery got her first hair cut yesterday. I thought she was going to scream and cry through it, but she sat in her chair as if it were her thrown. She didn't take much off, but did trim up the back and gave her some bangs. I of course haven't taken an after picture and Rob took the camera to work today, but she is cute in her new do. After Ellery was finished Mason crawled up in the chair and said he needed a trim as well. Collette was a good sport and fixed him up as well. After we were done Collette gave them suckers and the kids were really excited. The funny thing is that Mason woke up last night crying and came into our room and when I asked if he had a bad dream he said yes "Ellery stole my sucker." Ellery torments him day and night, poor Mason.

1st day Of Preschool

My little man is growing up so fast. He had his first day of pre school today. He was excited as can be to have a destination to wear his back pack. He missed last week because we thought it was more important to take our trip to Aruba, which starts with an A, and ironically the letter he missed learning last week was the letter A. He didn't bat an eye on me taking him in and leaving him. He informed in the video captured and on the way to school that he was going to play with the cars. We attended an open house at his school a few weeks ago and all he did was play with the cars during the open house. We had a feeling that he thought school was going to be all about playing and no work because when asked how his first day of school was he informed us that Mrs. Ziemba didn't let him play with the cars. His teachers name is Mrs. Ziemba and she has 25 years of teaching experience so I am sure she was seasoned on how to coax him back to learning time and away from attempted play time.
