Pretty Pretty Princess

Ellery got the Pretty Pretty Princess game for her birthday and it is a F-U-N game. Bryson doesn't want to sit and play, but he wants me to put all the jewelry on him and he walks around like he is one tough boy in jewelry. The object of the game is to collect all your color jewelry (ring, two earrings, bracelet, necklace, bracelet) and have the crown in your possession! The Chaplin object of the game is to collect the crown. I am not sure if we have ever completed the game because everyone enjoys stealing the crown from whoever has it and loses focus on collecting their color of jewelry.

Kinect Fun

The kinect is always a fun time. The highlight this year for the kids was kinect sports 2. Skiing was a good time! It was also great that Papaw was able to do some racing with us this time, it was able to recognize him in his wheelchair. He also threw down on darts. I was the weak link on darts, everyone else kicked me to the curb! I couldn't win for nothing, and thank goodness that is what we were paying for. I might have had bragging rights in boxing, but not in darts! Fun is all I could get!

Bunny Ears

We were taking pictures of Bryson trying to crawl and Mason wanted me to take a picture of myself. He wanted to give me bunny ears. Where they learn these things is beyond me, but we had a few good laughs giving bunny ears to each other.
Ellery wanted to play the game as well. Not so sure she has the whole concept down, but we still had some fun.

Kinect

Oh we did it! We bought a Kinect and we are all having a great time with it! Rob sent me to the store to buy it and I told the associate I need a kinect and he kept saying do you have an xbox and I kept repeating, "No, I want a kinect." After a 5 min conversation I finally understood that I had to have an xbox to play the kinect through. Oh, how I felt old. The associate and I both had a good chuckle and thought our conversation could have been used in a communication class.

A New Game

I wish I could get the video prior to this one to load, but I have been unsuccessful. Mason came up with a new game, it is basically tag, but you have to tag ones bottom. It was really cute listening to him explain his rules, but I suggested we change it to the hand game, and Ellery really liked that idea. She also likes to get her picture taken or video taken after Mason and hers turned out pretty cute as well!

Sore Back

Poor Rob missed out on hunting this year and had to hang with the girls. He pulled his back shoveling all the snow in Omaha and has been laid up ever since. It didn't stop him from being a rock star playing the guitar on rock band. We are tempted every year to buy a WII, but some how we hold out. It does bring a lot of joy and laughs.

Slug Bug

Mason likes to wear his goggles around the house. We keep forgetting to take them upstairs so he can use them for bath time as well. Anyways, what a proud day it is, Mason called out a slug bug all on his own. It took a blue one for him to say it, but he called it all on his own with no prompting. GO MASON! Watch out Rob, not only do you get beat at slug bug by your wife but it is possible you may be beat by a 2 year old!

Boxing Tournament 2009

My brother came up with the wonderful idea of having a WII family boxing tournament. I wasn't so thrilled on the idea at first, but as you can see I warmed up. I have learned I am a WII boxing spazz. I didn't want to post any proof of it, but Rob convinced me that I make fun of everyone else on the blog and I was overdue to make fun of myself. I am sad to report that I ended up being the first loser meaning I was 2nd place to my father Jim Balboa. He won the official title and bragging rights for the year. I am saddened by the defeat and getting beat like a step child from my dad, but I was finally able to beat my brother like I always dreamed. I think we are all going to save our pennies to buy a WII now and practice up for next year's rematch. I do have bragging rights over everyone else in the family and I will use it the most on my brother. I kicked his arse-BIG TIME! The bracket didn't allow me to box Rob, and we never boxed each other. We were on the same bowling team, also known as the winning bowling team, but no one wants to talk about that. Good times were had by all. I think we need to buy family bowling shirts along with boxing gloves!

WII

I can't believe my dad has a WII and we don't. Needless to say we have really enjoyed playing it. We came home tonight and Rob enjoyed some boxing with Jordan and I enjoyed kicking everyone at bowling. Jill might be sporting some form, but that didn't beat my fabulous score of 169. I don't think I ever bowled that in real life but that isn't the point. The point is that I am an excellent bowling gamer.
