Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood had its annual egg hunt! Bryson was really excited to hunt for eggs this year, but he wouldn't have anything to do with the Easter Bunny!

Trolley Tour

We had such a great time on our trolley tour this summer that we all decided to do a neighborhood Christmas Light Tour. We decided to skip the ritzy ritzy neighborhoods and go for the classic Griswald houses. Actually some of the houses we saw put the Griswald house to shame. They synch up their lights to music or you could tune into radio stations for music! Spectacular. I never took a picture of the lights we were able to see, but let me just say some were soooooo amazing that I am thankful the bright shining lights aren't outside my bedroom window! Although if I had to give directions to my house it would be easy to find!

Ridges Camp Out

Our annual neighborhood camp out was this weekend in the soccer field behind our house. Bryson and I slept inside! Our other family members slept outside for the night. I have set myself up for always sleeping inside for this big event. My motto is no sleeping in a tent when you can see your house or bedroom! lol Rob says they were roughing it, but I heard movies playing on the IPAD when I came in for the night! Everyone had a great time and lasted all night!

Ollie the Trolley

Oh, the joys of a silent auction. It is always fun to go to a fund raiser and bid on something you would never consider doing until you think you are getting a deal. A husband of a friend of mine always tells his deal seeking wife that they are going to go broke saving money. I found that hysterical. It fits perfectly for anything you bid on in a silent auction.
Last year Rob and I went to Rockin Rosie where I bid on a trolley tour called Millionaires and Mansions. I won the tour at a steal of a deal and few of my neighbors decided to go in on it with me. I think they wanted to make sure I invited them. We invited people from our hood and then drove around other hoods with a cocktail in hand. It was a beautiful night and lots of fun seeing areas of Omaha. My friend Kim and her family were up visiting for the weekend so they joined us for our tour as well.

Ridges Neighborhood Party

We had our annual neighborhood picnic again this year. Same things, different year, with more kids. Bryson hung out in the stroller like a champ while the other two ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. They got their face painted. Mason picked spiderman again, while Ellery choose to be a butterfly. I think we got the exact same balloons made as last year, but we did stand in line for the air brushed tattoos that stay on for a week. Mason picked a spiderman head, and Ellery went with a smiling sun. They jumped on the bounce houses and chased their friends and then they noticed the trolley coming in and out. They decided they wanted to go for a ride on the trolley, so on we went to ride the trolley through the neighborhood, and it was a delightful time!

Silly Neighbors

Our neighbors thought it would be funny to put an Iowa State Mascot tattoo on Mason. He actually enjoyed it and called it a band-aid. I thought it was more appropriate to post the picture of him crying. It doesn't matter that he is crying over something unrelated to his tattoo, but it makes me want to cry. The only bird he should be wearing on his face or supporting is the Jayhawk! His tattoo is gone now and Mason started crying asking for another "band-aid".
