Bahama Recreation

Bahama life is grand. You can eat and drink all day so that is a bonus, but you can also do all sorts of water recreation. We did some snorkeling as usual. We really enjoy seeing the marine life! We also took out the gigantic tricycle. Not pictured is us doing the standing paddle boats. You go alone on a long surf board looking floatie and maneuver yourself around with one oar. The man giving me instructions told me that I was 99.9% sure going to fall into the water at least once. I only fell once and then was a maneuvering fool out in the ocean. Rob had more falls and finally took to his knees to keep up with me! I have a better center of gravity than he does! It was a lot of fun, but hard to turn and steer.
The Queen's Staircase
This was a fun adventure. We went into town because Rob loves to buy sim cards in foreign places so he can use his phone. We had to go into a boring store to get it so I started reading a book about the Bahamas and it talked about the Queen's Staircase. Most people would have taken a cab and played it safe. Not us! After we were off the main path for a bit and passing the hospital and not seeing anymore tourists, I could sense Rob getting nervous about my impromptu adventure, because I was getting nervous as well. It was worth the nervousness because it was beautiful and we learned a lot of history. I enjoy it, but Rob loved it. At the top of the staircase was a fort and more vendor shopping. Hello bonus, it was like I planed this excursion just for Rob. He is rubbing off on me, in my old days I wouldn't have been so open to unplanned events and off the main path excursions!

Lastly, the SHOPPING was fun! I have a lot of Coach bags and I even bought Rob a Breitling watch. Oooo la la!

Happy Anniversary to US! The resort kept wishing us happy 4th Anniversary, so we went with it!

Happy 9th Anniversary

The big niner for us this year! We opted out on buying gifts this year and used this trip to San Francisco as our celebration. We have celebrated by exploring the city and having wonderful dinners out every evening together and sleeping together in a luxurious hotel. Where I don't have to clean, cook, or do laundry.
If you don't want to hear my mushy love talk just move along and quit reading now.
For those who don't know Rob I can give a quick run down on why I love him so much. It is hard to believe that we have been married for 9 years and known each other for over 12. Wow time really does fly by.
He is a man who loves his family in all aspects. He is very loving and probably the most patient person I know. He had been extremely patient with me over the past 9 years and if anyone knows me I am sure no one would use the word patient to describe me. He has a very long fuse where I have a teeny tiny fuse. He rarely loses his cool or lets angry lead his life or decisions. I am very grateful he lets his fuse burn while helping me keep my fuse from blowing. He tends to live by the rule if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. He is so non-judgmental and I hope this is something he passes onto our kids. He is even steven a bit reserved, but not shy. He is your friend the minute you meet him and has a hard time saying no to helping you out. He is good at whatever he tries or picks up in athletic abilities to having useless knowledge in his brain. He moves at a pace where he thoroughly enjoys life. If we want to stop and take a detour it is viewed as an adventure rather than an inconvenience. He teaches me things I never thought possible, shows me how to think and view things in a different light, and loves me unconditionally. I thought I loved him so much 9 years ago, but as the years go by I fall deeper in love. He shows me how to love in a way I never thought possible and for that I am forever his.
He is a confident man who grabs you by the heart and you better hold on tight because he has a lot of Love to give! I am proud to call him my HUSBAND!

Happy Anniversary 8 Years

Rob and I have been married for 8 years today! What a blessed 8 years it has been. We haven't been as tedious on celebrating the traditional gift the last few years, but are trying to get back to it. Bronze is the traditional gift for 8. We feel our trip to Aruba was an anniversary trip in the sense that we bronzed ourselves while we were there. We also decided to make a bronze plaque that will hang on our wall or the outside of our house for a really long time because bronze is very durable. It will be a plaque that the kids will look at in 75 years and wonder what they should do with it and then tell their stories about where it was hanging and referring to it as a member of the family because they can't remember life without it. I can honestly say we have had some ups and downs in the 8 years, but I still wouldn't change my answer of yes. The answer will always be, YES YES YES! I don't think I could have made it through everything without my wonderful husband by my side. I am so grateful for everything he does for me and our family.

Happy Anniversary 7 Years

Rob and I celebrated our 7th anniversary today. I can't believe it has only been 7 years and then on the other hand it feels like yesterday. We didn't do a lot to celebrate and kept it low key this year. In the past we have always celebrated with the traditional gifts and this year we opted out on copper and wool. I knitted Rob a wool hat in the past and he finds it too warm to wear so that blew other wool options out of the water and I am not sure what we needed that would be copper. So we agreed on new leather furniture as our anniversary gift and it does have some beading on it so we are calling it copper so it fits our traditional celebrating flare. Rob did surprise me with a bouquet of flowers (gerber daisies, roses, and lillies) all my favs. It was very sweet and romantic. Wish us luck this year, statistics show that the hardest years of marriage are 3 and 7.
