They Clean

If only it was help that was actually help. The positive is that my floor had a bit of water on it after so it is also a bit cleaner. Not sure if the dishes are clean, but nothing the real dishwasher couldn't clean up! Funny how times have changed. If the sink could eat people I think it would have eaten Mason whole!

Bryson's new tote

Bryson really likes to mimic Ellery. She is very impressionable for him as Mason is for her. She tends to be more into what Mason likes when he is around, but when it is just Bryson and Ellery her girly girl side really comes out which brings out Bryson's girly side. Grandma Debbie probably had no idea that the barn yard animals in this cute barn carrier would get a lot of playtime. Bryson likes to carry it around and will put anything he finds in it along with the animals. Sometimes he chooses to find another home for the animals so he can put more into the barn. Today he decided that Rob's shoe would be a perfect new home for the animals. Sometimes he tucked it under his arm like a football and other times the shoe strings proved to be a great handle for him!

Darts

I hear "don't worry, Mason I am coming to help you." Ellery was coming to help shoot down the darts next to my new light fixture that Mason stuck to the wall. I actually think they shot a dart into the light fixture, but their lips are sealed! I don't think dart guns will ever go out of style in this house!

No School

We didn't have any school today so a group from school decided to meet at The Playdazium at Skatedaze! Sure we just went, but the kids were super excited to go back again so soon! Mason's best friend Sam went with us and Mason and Sam happened to dress alike for the day! These boys just warm my heart!

Tents

I can't resist a good tent making day! Sure you can hardly walk in our living room, but it is a great cave for reading and playing! Hours and hours of fun!

Bryson Position

It isn't that uncommon to now find Bryson sitting in chairs and getting into things that he really shouldn't be getting into. He loves digging through the desk drawer and finding items I didn't know we had. He still loves carrying around tiny objects, the tinier the better! He also likes to find the right size pencils and pens and drop them through the cane seat of the chair. Ellery then comes running trying to find her papers and pencils that Bryson isn't allowed to have, which then turns into our everyday situation. Bryson wants what Ellery has or anything that is hers! She loves pink therefore Bryson loves pink. He is biased to anything she shows a preference for. She is starting to figure the system out. Give Bryson what she has, go find something else so he will want that, he then drops what she originally had, and goes for the second object, she then gives it to him willingly. He now has something that she just had, but she got back what she originally wanted.

Snow Fun

We finally got some snow and had time to play in it. I was beginning to think that my snow pant purchases where going to go to waste! Bryson didn't have much interest in walking in it. He was very content being pulled around in the sled.
Hudson was sad that he had to stay in the yard while everyone went sledding. I did push Bryson down the hill a few times without much of a response from him?
Ellery and Mason had a great time playing in the snow!

68 Degree's in January

January=Cold
That is why I didn't look at the weather prior to dressing my children in the morning. Mother Nature made me look like an "outstanding" mother today. I dressed my kiddos in turtle necks, the day ended with no wind and 68 degrees. People were wearing shorts while mine were covered from neck to toe!
They are also into making silly faces. It is our agreement in snapping photos. They have to do a serious one for me and then I will take a silly face photo if everyone cooperates for the serious one with pretty smiles. Sure Ellery's pretty smiles sometimes creeps me out, but I keep that thought to myself. It is what she does with her teeth. It looks all sweet, but then her teeth are perched up on her lips and then I think of a rabbit, which should bring sweet thoughts, but this rabbit for some reason isn't very nice!
Bryson is loving bubbles! He loves attempting to blow them, chase them, and pop them. Our bubble blower is on the fritz, but has been a great investment for us. I bought it for Mason's 1st birthday party and it has brought a lot of fun bubble popping days. I hear they have a new one that can produce 50,000 bubbles in a minute. I hear Toys-R-Us calling my name tomorrow!

Skate Daze aka Rat Cage Play

Mason had the day off from school so we went to the playdazium at Skate Daze.
The kids had a great time in what I consider a germ infested rat cage. I do make them strip down at the door when we get home and they always ask me why? I wonder if I was ever aware of germs when I was a kid? I don't think so, I recall picking my nose and sticking the burgers in my pocket because I didn't know where else to put them? Ewwwww

Stickers

I used to LOVE stickers as a child. I loved them so much I wouldn't use them because I didn't want to waste them. I was always saving them for the right moment and that moment never seemed to find me. My kids have a different look and approach to stickers. Give them stickers and they will use every last one you give them. Our rule is you can stick them to paper or yourself. I don't want to have any surprises decorated with stickers. Sometimes they accidentally get stuck to the floor, and after the kids help me work and work to get them off they have no desire to stick them in unwanted places. Today, they were playing in the office quietly with stickers. They came out with them all over their bodies. Mason went and changed into shorts so he could have more surface area to apply them!
A few quotes I was met with:
E: We are pretending these stickers are band aids. Look at all my owies!
M: Check out my sticker mustache!
M: I guess we could pretend they are tattoos?

The Bathroom's Play Pin

This is my new play pin and it works for all parties involved unless someone turns on the water. Which then it only works for the contained parties and not so much for the mommy who was trying to get ready!

Do you think I have my hands full?

I don't think I have to say much here. It puts my parenting skills to the test. Thank goodness my older two are good kids because this one is really on the move!

Sprinklers in October

Like I mentioned we have had a beautiful fall. So nice that when my neighbor turned her sprinklers on to mark them so she could get her yard aerated the kids begged to put their swim suits on and run through the sprinklers. Who am I to say no?
They had a great time!
After they were done they put their towels on the driveway and sunned themselves like lizards!

Messy Babies

Our neighbors next door moved and had some bibs they gave Ellery that they had left over from a gag gift. Their trash was her treasure. She has been a mother hen taking care of her babies. They were all hungry and needing assistance at the exact same time. Thank goodness we had enough bibs to keep them all clean!

Sack Races

A pro to having family that own a coffee shop is that we can get a real sacks for races. The kids fit in these sacks and love crawling into them to hide. I then pick up my sack of beans only to find out a child is inside! They also love trying to have sack races in the basement. They are beginning to figure out if they position their feet correctly in the sack they can take baby steps rather than jumping across the room!
If you truly want the best coffee in the world and happen to be in Sioux Falls, SD stop into Coffea. For those of you who are true coffee lovers and won't be in SD anytime soon check out the website. They ship!

Bryson Playing

A sure way to get your kids to play with toys is to box them up and bring them out. It fools them and they think they are new toys OR bring out the old toddler toys. I am not sure who loves playing with all the new/old toddler toys more? I think it might be Bryson if he could ever get a turn?

Water Slide Fun

I was exchanging emails with a friend and she mentioned getting together to "water slide". I finally clarified on what water slide we were going to meet up at, I was thinking of leaving Bryson with a sitter if it was going to be a water park adventure. She sent me a picture of this monstrosity, that she has in her yard. We just had water day at our house and then go to a friends house for this water day! Thank goodness we did our water day prior to this one!

Water Day

We decided to have water day at the house again. Nothing like hooking up the old slip and slide and putting it at the bottom of our play structure slide. The kids love it. I need to go get myself a shepherds hook so I don't have to hold the hose or drench myself as I wrap it around the play structure to shoot down the slide. They also love jumping on the trampoline with water spraying everywhere!

Sleeping LEGOS

As we are eating breakfast and I want to talk to everyone at the table.
Ellery: Shhhhh mom, the Lego people are sleeping and cold.

Dress Up

Not much to explain here. Surprise surprise, Ellery loves dressing up. She does have a strong desire for the Belle costume. I think she likes it because I don't buy her anything yellow.
